Busy, Busy

At this time of year the blog being quiet is a good thing - at least for the team - as it means we are spending alot of time training!!
And indeed, that is why there has been no post in the last week or so.

We had some gorgeous beautiful days with frosty trees ...

...then the snow started and hasn't really stopped in 3 days...

No one is complaining here!!! We will be on sleds in no time!!!

Richard has been working hard on acquiring all the skills he will need for his first distance race...

He's learning to deal with the cold....

Perfecting his booting skills...

Learning his way around a cooker...

Learning to camp - distance mushing style (VERY bare bones)

And of course, most importantly, putting lots of miles on the dogs with me...

Mark has been putting alot of hours in at work so he can have time off for races in the new year, but is still managing to put miles in training too!

And the dogs are doing great!

As is normal, there are a few peaks and valleys in training, but for the most part they are a rowdy and happy crew!

So, all and all 'Life is Good'.

Just remember, at this time of year - no news is good news!!!

Happy Trails!
