Musical Round Thing - Bet

Howdy Ho Everybodies!!!!

It didn't take very long for my pretty nail polish to chip off my toes, so now I'm back at the keyboard and resisting the urge to check out the cool nail polish colors on the interwebs.

Anyhoo, I'm back to puppy training.  Like the Cramplings, the Boo Whos... or Boo Fis or whatever, need to learn to follow directions, do as they are told, and become a well orchestrated team.

The perfect training game for them was Musical Chairs!  You know that game... there's one chair less than the total amount of participants, when the music plays you walk around the chairs, and when it stops, you body slam, punch, and kick your competitors away from the chair and sit on it because if you don't get a chair, then you are out.  Seems like a perfectly good way to teach puppies (or human children) how to work as a team... ok, I just thought it would be fun to watch!

The only problem was that the Musher wouldn't let me bring any of the chairs into the puppy pen... she wouldn't let us play in the house, we had no music, and ... details, details, I improvised.

So, here I am explaining the rules.

It's called "Musical Round Thing" without music... stop nibbling me, I don't have fleas
Thankfully I didn't try this game with the Cramplings because it would be all "Why do you call it musical if there's no music", and other silly questions that actually aren't silly because they're way too smart for their fur and have a way of making me change my mind... damn those Crunchie genes.

Anyhoo, it took a bit to get them to understand that all they had to do was walk around the round thing without falling in the hole... whoever fell into the hole was disqualified.  It is also perfectly ok to push each other into the hole... hehehe.

WAIT! WAIT! stop pushing each other into that hole, we haven't even started yet!
It started out pretty well.

Counter clock-wise everyone... yeah, I know, clocks are so outdated
No Horton, I have no idea how long this is going to take, just keep moving
Yes, I said whoever falls into the hole is disqualified, and look... Cindy is right near the hole... hint, hint
Wait a minute, no I'm not a part of the game, no fair ganging up and shoving me in the hole
OW OW LET GO OF MY EAR!  Daddy stop pushing from behind!
Now that Daddy is disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct, let's end this quick, I think I smell waffles
Um, Horton and Cindy, Google is over here calling you bad names... just thought you should know
Google is out!  Google in the hole!
Yeah, not so funny now, eh Google

More Moving Like... Something - Bet

Howdy Ho everybodies!

In my continuing effort to provide the Who's and Cramplings with both exercise, and the latest in flashy dance moves, we tried again today to get some choreography going so that when Albert Lewis arrived, he would be simply stunned by the twinkly toes of the puppies that he would just photograph a full book on US!  By the way, there are still three more copies of the Musher autographed books available... just sayin, get them while you can... click the link on the upper right "Born To Run" thingie.

Anyhoo, it's taking a lot longer than I thought to get a whole routine worked up.  The Who's and the Cramplings all have different ideas on dance steps, and frankly some of the puppies have 4 left feet.  Yes, yes, I know, they are born to move forward at a high rate of speed... but you would think they could easily master the feather step, ball change, and a little mambo!

Ok, now Do-sa-do

NOO, Do-sa-do!  You're suppose to walk around your partner!

Walk it off, you'll be fine, it's only a minor bruise

Ok, this is where we all grapevine and then break into the Electric Slide

You're all doing great, just keep up with me and we'll do the wheel into a Enchufla

Um... where's my inside partner?

NO!  it's not time for me to lift you up and spin you!

Great tongue action there, shake your hips a bit more Jagger-like

There you go, you almost have it

Great inside turn, now shake that rump

NO NO NO!!! We aren't doing the conga line number until after the Macarena!

Um... I'm pretty sure I didn't choreograph any break dancing moves in our number

Ok, everyone circle the Cricket and then change step

Google, nice pas de duex

NO NO NO, when you Flutterwheel... oh never mind

Nice Arabesque Daddy
You can't do a Pass the Ocean if you won't let your partner pass the friggity ocean!!!!
Nice job pups... great job... we'll be amazing in 3 days.

We're doomed.

Moves Like Who's - Bet

Howdy Ho everybodies!

I have to admit that all of the preparation for Albert Lewis' photography session on July 4th is getting on my nerves.  It's exhausting to run back and forth from the dog yard to the house gathering creme rinses, facial scrubs, combs, curlers, nail polish and detanglers.

I also felt really sorry for the Boo Who's who have been practicing balancing books on their heads while they walk in a straight line, and answering questions about how they would create world peace, and what their favorite color is.  I decided to pupnap them all and take them out on a fun run.

Little Ewok had a blast running through the woods and trees.

They got to sniff, dig, and play without anyone criticizing their posture or correcting the sentences.

I even showed the Who's my awesome dancing skills from the Musher's favorite song "Moves Like Jagger".

See, check out these moves!

You can clearly tell that the Who's need a LOT more work at perfecting the moves.

The Boo Who Update - Bet

Howdy Ho everybodies!  Since a lot of attention has been paid to the Cramplings, I thought I'd give an update on the elusive Boo Whos.

First of all, I'm getting really tired of call them Number 1, Number 2, etc.  It's almost like I'm in the really oogie tv show where that guy is stuck in some village and keeps looking for Number 1 and gets chased by the really scary huge white ball.  I hate that show!  That ball is REALLY SCARY!!!

Anyhoo, so since there's not even a theme for names, I thought I would take it upon myself to give the Boo Whos some names, so you know who I'm talking about when I'm talking about them.

Coming up with a theme was really hard.  I thought it would be really cool if we could stick with the whole Science Fiction thing, so I tried to think of a good science fiction show that maybe had the word "who" in it, and since we don't know who the daddy is, maybe it could have a lead character that nobody know who he was, and he'd be some sort of doctor of time travel and flew to wondrous and scary places in a phone booth or something and saved the world!

Alas, there's nothing like that, and this is why television just isn't interesting anymore... they really need to get with creating cool things like that.

So, I'm going with names from the great rock band "The Who".  The only problem with that is that "The Who" are all blokes (as Richard would say), and the Boo Whos have 2 girls, so I had to massage the names a bit to get them to fit.

So, temporarily I'm calling the Boo Whos:
Roger and Pete (the boys)
Moon and Entwistle (the girls)

Yes, I'm totally ignoring their replacement drummer, because I'm a purist when it comes to The Who, and I pity poor Entwistle, because that's a really sucky name for a girl, but I'm sure she'll overcome the stigma later in life.

So, here are some pictures of the Boo Whos with mama Boo

Pete, Entwistle, Moon, and Roger

Did you bring me the laptop?  I have a video conference with  my marketing distributor in 10 minutes!

Now little Moon, we'll get you your own line of shampoo all in good time

Get a good picture Musher, I heard Jessica Simpson got zillions for selling her baby pictures

Ok, you do realize that this isn't what I had in mind to sell to the tabloids, right?

A pile of Whos

Roger, why are you so messy, I told you we had a photo shoot today

Ok, Ok, I'll tell you the story of how you can leverage capital to invest long term again

Pete already teasing Entwistle about her name

Boo Who Pool, Puppies, Puppies, and More Puppies - Bet

Howdy Ho everybodies, its me, your Auntie non-roving non-reporting non-sheepy herdy Border Collie Bet here!

I was kinda taking a lazy day today, sorry for the long wait for the names of the Boo Who Puppy Pool.

Most of you must be thinking that the puppies are wearing me out, and yes, I do expend a lot of energy running back and forth between whelping pools making sure each batch of puppies are fine, fetching Tramp some water, getting Boo another pillow, watching the Cramplings while Tramp stretches her legs, then watching the Boo Whos while Boo gets to go out and stretch a bit.

That's bad enough, but I'm also doing what I can to be a muse to the Musher, who appears to want to go out and ride her bike, or run the Pretty Curly Tails, or plant flowers, or go out for coffee (without me... harumpf), or just about anything but sit down at the computer and finish her Tales on the Trail series.

As you may recall, when we last left off, she was here:

Sigh... she's only halfway finished telling the story.  I assure you that I'll continue to herd her toward the computer and make sure she finishes the stories before it starts snowing.

Anyhoo, here are some pictures of cute little Cramplings.  For the Facebooks peoples, you've already seen them, and the Musher promised to get me some new materials, but then she ran out of the door to go wax the dog houses... between you and me, I think either she's still swigging that 5 hour energy stuff, or it rewired her or something.

Aren't puppy toes adorable?

Anyhoo, this posting was actually suppose to be all about the Boo Who Pool and who the winners are!

Yeah, about that... you may have noticed that the Crampling Cam was a bit akimbo yesterday.  I couldn't fix it because I couldn't reach all the way up where it was, and the Musher was off having coffee (um, without me again), and Musher Mark was watching the tv and apparently has never watched a single episode of Lassie or else he would have known that either Timmy had fallen in the well (again) or since there's nobody named Timmy around here, and we don't have a well, that my frantic barking would have clued him in that Crampling Cam was akimbo.

I know that a lot of people were speculating that Tramp had done something to it and was hiding something... like maybe while all of the humans were preoccupied, she had snuck into the kitchen and stole a certain container of leftover pasta and ate it all... um... YEAH that's exactly what happened, that's what happened to the pasta, and I merely got some of that pasta on me when I went to retrieve the container from Tramp and it got all on me... IT'S CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE I TELL YOU!

Oh... sorry, I digress again... it actually was nothing like that at all... apparently Boo is a tad bit upset that the Cramplings and Tramp are getting all of the cam glory.  When I say upset, I mean WHOO BOY is she mad, like fashion model diva throw a tantrum mad about her lack of camera time mad.  She threw a shoe at me!  I have no idea where she got a shoe, but when I came in to check on everyone, she told me to fetch her makeup crew and bring the camera in, and then threw a shoe at me when I said the cam was staying on the Cramplings.

Apparently when I went into the kitchen to... um... drink some water... yeah, well, she snuck into the Crampling den and tried to drag the cam off the shelf.

Its ok, I've calmed her down by telling her that she will get to present the winners of the Boo Pool and that over 100 adoring Boo fans participated in the pool and two people actually guessed how many boys and girls there would be and so they both win, and that even the Prime Minister of Canada called to wish her well (I totally lied about that last part).

So, it is my honor to introduce the totally fabulous, talented, and 2012 Iditarod finishing (unlike that glory hogging Tramp) purebred Siberian Husky we all know and love.... BOO!  (she told me to say all of that or else she'd chew on one of my fashionable ensembles)

Here's Boo!

Candy and Courtney, please e-mail the Cartoonist at: penny@northwapiti.com so she can send your one of kind prizes... that means each of you get a one of a kind thing because if you both got the same thing, then that's not very one of a kind now isn't it... so you'll each get one one of a kind thing... you know what I mean, I hope, because at this point I'm not even sure.
