Ceremonial Start - Judge View - Bet

Howdy Ho everybodies!

I hope some of you were able to take advantage of the freebie viewing of the Ceremonial Start of the 2013 Iditarod.  From reports we received, there were glitches, and freezies, and issues, and stuffs and things, but that's (unfortunately) typical when a bazillion people log into one server to watch... things go crash.

The Musher was able to stop by one of the Book Signing Events for the really cool book "Born To Run / Athletes of the Iditarod", which features some of the Pretty Curly Tails.  Let us know if you were one of the lucky ones to buy one that the Musher signed for you!

Yes, that is Cindy Lou Who on the cover!
If you are interested in buying the book, you can get an un-autographed one on Amazon and if you want a chance to bid on an autographed one and help Malamutes find new, loving homes, the Illinois Alaskan Malamute Rescue Association (IAMRA) has an autographed (by the Musher) one up for bid in their fund raising auction happening RIGHT NOW!  Click this link to go bid.

Anyhoo!!!!

With the usual fun and hoopla, the Ceremonial Start got started yesterday afternoon.  The Musher didn't realize just how hard it would be to be there, watch all of her friends and fellow mushers and dogs start off... and be left behind.

At one point it got to be too much and she made a break for it..

Other race officials were able to tackle her before she made it out of town.

And then, apparently she went and ran with the reindeer...

... or something, I'm not really sure, but she seems to be getting plenty of exercise. (Turns out she didn't get to run with them... probably a good thing with those stompy hooves)

I can assure you that the Musher is blogging stuff, but she's busy with her officially official judgey duties and hasn't been able to complete anything... coherently ... yet.

I also want to just warn everybodies that I don't know if she'll be able to get the interwebs access out in Finger Lake because... well...

... that's about all that's there.
