Hello: I talked to Karen last night at 9:00, and decided that doing anything at 3:00 in the morning wouldn't be smart. So she was going to let everyone including herself sleep through the night and take a look at the situation in the morning. Later, Mark Many classrooms follow the progress of various musher's during the Iditarod, below are pictures from the three grade six classes at Muriel Martin School in St. Albert, Alberta. Each cup represents a different checkpoint along the Iditarod trail. Students have sticks that represents their chosen musher. The stick with the Canadian flag represents Karen's status, other Canadians in the race have maple leaf stickers on their markers. Photos by Rhonda Surmon (Teacher) |
