Nope, no new dog in the yard - but by the commotion in the dog yard all yesterday afternoon and evening, you would have thought so.
I guess they didn't recognize her....
Can you blame them???
This was Cricket yesterday morning -
And this is Cricket now -
She says don't let the coiffed exterior fool you - she is still all business!!!!
Many thanks to Critter Cuts grooming here in the valley. Even though they advertise 'Small and Medium Dogs Only' they were sympathic to my desperate pleas and made an exception for Cricket.
Lori did a great job of grooming Cricks and charged a very reasonable price!!!!
Thank you so much!!!

What, no 'moisturizer' for her nose at the 'spa'? She looks Mahvelous!
WOW Hopefully her hair grows quickly or you might have to get her a coat when it starts to cool down up there...
She looks more comfortable though. I would put some elbow and pad cream (for dogs) on her nose. That will help it out.
OH! It's great, Karen!! What breed is she? Strangely enough, it doesn't make her head look as massive as before, but there's still a lot of dog underneath that fur! Guess it wouldn't be polite to ask how much she weighs, huh? :)
We guess that she is about 120 lbs - but haven't had her on a scale to know for sure.
Karen
The groomer did a great job! She looks like an entirely different dog!
The commotion was not over the haircut. The working dogs were all laughing at the bandana.
WOW...Cricket you look great!!!
Oh Cricket, you look so smooth, so clean, and yet so dignified. Just think of the weight she lost!! They did do a great job, and she looks wonderful. Was she cooperative? It had to feel great.
Anyone read the book "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe"? Remember the part where the Lion gets shaved? hee hee. that's what she reminds me of. I bet she feels lighter!
Poor baby, but she looks so much nicer with her new bandana. A vita E cap on her nose will do wonders...
What breed is she? Her haircut looks great! Now she can grow that coat back for winter.
