Finally, about 3 years later then we should have, we got the roofs on the house and garage replaced. Our wonderful roofing 'guy' Neal tells me I have horseshoes up my ....... (I'm sure you can finish that sentence without my help). Apparently, we were very lucky that the seriously old shingles hadn't leaked to the point of damaging the roof.
Anyway, because we live in a tree filled river valley our internet and TV both come via satellite dishes on the roof. The roofing project required moving both and while we were able to 'repoint' the TV dish on our own we had to wait for the satellite company to find time to come repoint the internet dish.
Mark was happy so long has his TV was back on. Brittany and I were twitching by Day 2.
So what happened in those 10 days???
Well.....
It snowed......
.....enough that we had to stop using the trail down to the river. That sand hill is just a bit too 'sporting' with a few inches of snow on top of it!
...and then it snowed some more....
Bet practiced her 'yoga' to deal with all the stomping and banging above her head..
It snowed some more...
....and then napped away in the toasty house....
...and then it snowed enough to do this....
WA-hoo!!!
Everyone had a GREAT time...
We discovered that the library in Athabasca offers free internet!!!
The roof got finished....at least I *think* it did. It got snowed on before I got much of a chance to see it!!
Brittany crashed, but everyone survived .... well maybe not the sled...
....we ran dogs a bit more (still with the ATV for big teams though!).....
It warmed up ....
The cleats came out...
...but still ran dogs....
....and now it is snowing again!!!
And now you are up to speed!!!

Oh! We have to do the same on our roof and I expect we will hear the same thing about how lucky we are. No tv does not make me eager to get it done!
