NorthWapiti Kennels is now taking applications for a new resident House Husky.
The position involves being a friend to the resident musher, a pal to the neurotic house Border Collie and assisting in holding down The Cloud.
Successful applications must be good with cats, able to walk off leash, be somewhat trustworthy off leash in the yard (under supervision), able to negotiate a sucessful working relationship with the giant yard dog, be able to figure out how to operate a dog door, and must not hog too much of the bed.
Salary will be paid in DentaStix - amount is negotiable based on experience.
Only dogs that are current residents of the NorthWapiti dog yard will be considered.
Applications may be dropped off at the house during business hours (which is actually 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
Interviews will begin Saturday April 23rd.

Love it! Let us know how the interviews progress! :)
Oh boy, there's that word neurotic again-Bet is going to weigh in here...
X?
Would you have to work abit on the off leash thing----for awhile?
Darn...I had my application ready to mail and then saw the 'current resident' thing. Guess I'll have to wait for another hiring session...
Thinking that on-the-job training for a trampling pup might cost less dentistix and make for less employee turnover.
I vote for Beauty because she is Kara's daughter, and that would make Kara proud.
I'm thinkin' Crunch, but a male has to have an extra interview criteria,,,,,
Who doesn't try to catch and eat the cats and doesn't immediately run for the hills when off leash? that should narrow things down a bit. Everything else can happen with a bit of training.
Keep us posted as you narrow down the candidates for the "perfect" Husky position. Off leash - a dream come true!!
Those are some really big paws "shoes" to fill! I can't wait to find out who the candidates are. I agree w/all the other comments about the "off leash" factor. That's always a challenge w/huskies!!!
