Berry Picking with See

See is one of my very best lead dogs. She is also not a normal Siberian.

Yup, like a very small handful of Siberians I've owned over the years See See is very trustworthy off leash.

I do work with all my main string dogs to ensure they are 'catchable', but See takes it well past 'catchable'.
In fact, usually she has zero interest in taking off and just wants to be as close to me as she can be.

Too close most of the time actually!!!!!

So I decided to take her berry picking with Bet and I.

It took her awhile to figure things out, but Bet was a patient teacher...

and eventually See followed the Pro's lead and lay down in the shade.

Yup, I'm not kidding she just hung out...

She is an exceptional Siberian in many ways!!!

I should also note that I was particularly proud of my little white leader today as the big guard dogs showed up after we had been picking a bit. See is very fearful of Cricket (Cricket has been know to bully her when she is off leash in the dog yard), yet she held ground well and even interacted with big, scarey Cricket (she gets along fine with Bear).

When I had enough berries for blueberry bannock for breakfast tomorrow, I called See up and she ran home next to the ATV.

Did I mention she is an exceptional Siberian???

*****PLEASE DO NOT TURN YOUR SIBERIANS LOOSE UNLESS YOU ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH YOUR DOG, KNOW YOUR SURROUNDINGS VERY WELL, YOUR DOG IS FAMILIAR WITH YOUR SURROUNDINGS AND YOU ARE PREPARED TO DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCES THAT MIGHT RESULT******
