First of all, we want to thank everyone that let us know that they will be using the Iditarod Insider this year to follow the Musher and the Pretty Curly Tails on the trail.
For the drawing, we wanted to make it really fair and all, so the Musher wrote each of the names on pieces of paper. Then she put each of the names inside a paper bag and mixed them around real good. I was going to pull out the winner, but my nose is so wet that every time I put my snooter in there to pull out a name, 5 piece of paper would stick to my nose.
Since Musher Mark was just sitting there playing Angry Birds (as usual), the Musher went over and asked him to pull the winning name... except he reached into the bag, pulled out a piece of paper and ate it, then pronounced it to the be blandest potato chip he's ever eaten.
Rather than write the names out again, we figured out through process of elimination (no pun intended... no, seriously, we didn't wait for it to come back out... really... I wish you would all get your minds out of the gutter... seriously!)
The winner is: Mary Atkinson!!!!
