The Trip to Rail Trail Sled Dog Race - Bet

Bet, your roving Border Collie reporter, here!

Just accessed the Interwebs to check on the progress of the Musher and crew.

Apparently the cranky dog truck had even MORE problems (cha ching) on the way to Grand Forks (BC, not ND) and the mechanics aren't even sure the duct tape and band aids they put on it will fix the problem, so that's a big bummer right there.

The Musher and crew are now at Grand Forks (BC) and awaiting the start of the race in a few hours... watching the rain.  Yep, rain.  Never fear, the Musher is in good spirits, the curly tails are ready to get pulling, and I'm warm and comfy on the couch.

So, you're probably wondering who made the trip this time!

Bet, you are too much. Love the comments and know how glad you are to be home in the snow instead of the rain.
Hope the race goes well. We're looking at daytime temps in Montana in the 40's [F], night in the teens. Much of the valley snow is gone, but not in the mountains. Hope it's the same in BC---once you get up in elevation, hope it's just snow.
"Bakavi" I've sponsored 3 dogs, but could do a PayPal for a piece of Jinx instead of my usual bag of dogfood. Let me know. I really hate seeing any of our gorgeous, hard working NW dogs out on the trail with no sponsor.

Great blog, Bet,
Best wishes to the whole NW gang in this next race. Too bad about the truck. How can anything that beautiful have so much trouble??
Hope they get some better weather - can't wait to hear how the race goes. Keep us posted, Bet!

Bet-you're a great reporter-keep up the good work. Bakavi and Granimar, I could do some to help Jinx too. Maybe the three of us?

Great Commentary Bet! I did not realize that there was a Grand Forks British Columbia. But rain this time of year, even in cold Canada sounds odd. Best wishes to Karen and Richard at the race.
