A Different Season...

Followers of the blog have seen 'The Campground' many times during the fall/winter...

...it is a nice 25 miles via backroads from the kennel, so a good 50 mile round trip for the dogs...

...it has nice camping spots...

...outhouses (with toilet paper). and great firepits for making yummy campfire food.

Plus it is accessible by vehicle, so we can make life easy and not always have to haul our our stuff out by dog team.

We've spent nights camped out under the stars there, we've chopped holes in the lake ice to get water for the dogs,

 we've run the ATVs on the lake, we've shivered our butts off,

 but we have never seen it quite like this...

Must say it is easier to find camping spots in the fall/winter though!!!!
