My Fantabulous Adventure - Bet

Howdy Ho Everybodies!

I wanted to wish all of you in the states a fantasticle Independence Day!  I hear there are a buncha picnics and parties, but then the loud scary fireworks stuffs and things!  Be careful not to eat too many hot dogs and hide in a nice safe place in the house until the loud noises are over.

Anyhooooooo, I had a fantabulous adventure yesterday and I wanted to share the fun with you.

You see, the Musher and I went to visit Lisa and do fun stuffs and things.

Lisa has big stompy stompy horses.  I was very brave and I got really really close to one of them... but I didn't dare look at it, because if you look at a horse, it gets all stompy and stuffs (and things).

The Musher said that I was very brave, and that's the closest I've ever gotten to a stompy horse, so that made me happy.

I also made a brand new friend.  This is Silas and he's a Jack Russell Terrier.

Do you moisturize?

I have no idea why Jack Russell gave him to Lisa, but whatever.  He's a bunch of fun to hang around with.  I'm also working on my "don't be so bossy" issues, but that's ok, because apparently he's from a "working breed" as well, has a lot of energy, and didn't mind being told where to go, just as long as he could dig some holes and weed out some small woodland creature things.  We did a lot of running around and playing.

Silas also showed me a fun new game called "roll around in a dead thing".  This is great fun because... well, it just is, and I took advantage of the bountiful dead thing we found.

I think Silas told me it was a gopher.  It had a nice bouquet, a lovely color, and was a good year.  I have to say it may have given my furs some much needed nutrients.

The only problem was... the Musher was NOT that pleased with my beauty soak and apparently there's this rule (although I'm pretty sure I didn't read it in any rule book I've found) that after soaking in gopher goo, you have to take a bath before you get back in the truck.

This seems quite unfair and I'm filing a grievance with my Coolie union.

Happy day to everybodies!

Don't Give Me Away - Bet

SSSSSSSHHHHHH!!!!

Be super sneaky secret and don't let the Musher know where I'm at!!!!

Can you see me?

I'm getting really good at this camoflaugy stuffs and things... how about now?

Wow, I am amazing when it comes to hiding... especially when it comes to baths!  You see, it's all snowy and muddy, and icky and just plain nasty around here, and I run so fast that I kick up a lot of the mud and gunk, and well... the Musher thinks that I need a bath every time I go outside.

Oh wait, you see me!  There I am!!! Look at how well camaflaugied I am, nobody can find me at all, wooo hoooo!!!!!

Um... wait a minute... who took this picture?  wha???  OH NO, it's the MUSHER!

DRAT, I've been found, and you all know what that means...

not happy

NOT HAPPY AT ALL

oooh, is that apricot scrub with a hint of mint?

I'd like to get out of the tub now!

Mudability - Bet

All this talk about showers and stuff must have put some funny ideas in the Musher's head.

I assure you that this was not payback for Tramp's unfortunate shower incident.  Nope.

You see, its spring here at North Wapiti.  With spring you get stupid hummingbirds (I hate you), and mud.  Lots of mud.  Mud-a-plenty.

Its not my fault I get muddy!  I'm suppose to go do my chores and my chores demand that I patrol the perimeter and see if there's anything I need to herd around.  Then I have to stop by and see the Tramplings, and Skecher always likes to play, and that means I get a tiny bit muddy!  Its MY JOB!!!  I can't help it if I get muddy on MY JOB!

The Musher doesn't like it when I come back to the house all muddy.  They have rugs, so I don't know what the big deal is, and I usually manage to wipe most of the mud off on the couch, so what's all the fuss about????

Everyone laughed when I mentioned the nice frock I wanted

Isn't that adorable???!!!!????

Of course I know I couldn't wear it every day while I worked, but a girl wants something to wear when she's ... oh I don't know... THROWING A BABY SHOWER PARTY THINGIE!

I'm practical!  I know I couldn't possibly wear such fancy duds out when I'm doing my rounds.  I'd need something waterproof and mudproof and easy to take off so I'm not tracking mud all over the place and therefore....

Check it out!  Isn't that adorable??!!!  The model is too, but I digress... the coat is not only fashionable, but functional, and so are the totally adorable little sneaker booties!!!!!

I could totally see myself styling through the dog yard wearing this, and I would be totally mud free and wouldn't have to endure these stupid baths!!!

Yes, yes, there would be times when I would need a bath after some of my more intense training sessions
