Fridays with Tig - Bet

Howdy Ho everybodies!!

Yes, the Musher is home (thankfully) and yes, she's still sick (awwww) and yes I'm taking good care of her until she recovers.

She's not a very good patient, by the way.

Anywhoo, I'm sure you are all excited about today's special guest, so without further ado (because we all know how I feel about ado), here is our

FRIDAYS WITH TIG!!!

Tig: Hello everybodies!!!!  I'm so pleased to be asked to get interviewed!  I hope you all enjoy yourselves!

Bet: Welcome to the house Tig... ooof, ok, I don't appreciate you sticking your foot in my mouth!

Tig: oops, sorry Auntie Bet, I'm just so excited!!

Bet: That's ok sweetie, how about we sit down and...

Bet: Um, we're here for an interview Tig, not to play with toys.

Tig: But it squeeks!

Bet: We can play with toys later, ok sweetie?

Tig: Sure!  Toys are fun, they squeek, do you squeek the toys all the time?

Bet: Yaaaaaawn, no, not all the time, but I do have a lot of toys, but I'd rather had more ensembles than ....

Tig:  squeek squeek squeeeeeek squeeeeek

Bet: Are you paying attention?

Tig: Oh sure Auntie Bet, I'm paying attention... look at the octopus!  I remember the octopus!

Tig: squeek squeek squeeeeeeek

Tig: HEY!  I have a great idea, let's jump on the couch!

Bet: Why do they always want to jump on the couch?

Tig:  HEY KD!  Hi KD!  What's up KD?
KD: I cut you!

Tig: Hey KD!  Can I jump on the couch?  I know you and Bait were sleeping there and everything, but I don't get to jump on the couch a lot, so if you don't mind?

KD:  Fine, whatever, leave me alone!

Tig: This is a nice couch, and I think it's real leather, is this real leather?

Bet: I don't know... aren't I supposed to be interviewing you?

Tig: This blanket smells really good, almost like pasta and perhaps a whiff of shrimp?  It smells just like you Auntie Bet!

Bet: A coincidence I'm sure... so Tig...

Tig: oooh, what a nice view you have on the couch, it's really nice, you can see outside and everything.

Bet: zzzzzzzz

Tig: Oh, I'm sorry, you ARE supposed to interview me... so what questions do you have?

Bet:  Wha?  Oh, sorry, I dozed off a bit, so what's your favorite...

Tig: oooh, look at his, it's very pretty!  Is this your dinner plate Auntie Bet?

Bet: No, it's not my dinner plate, how about you get back up here so I can...

Bet:  Um, that's a bit too close... what are you doing?

Tig: I'm just admiring your wonderful collar!  It really does make your furs pop, what a stunning color coordination.

Bet:  Um, thank you, I really... ugh, I'm supposed to be interviewing you!

Tig: Oh hey, excuse me, I just noticed the stitching on this couch, I'm pretty sure this is real leather, don't you think it's real leather.

Bet:  ya know...

Bet: Tig... seriously Tig... that's a bit rude

Tig:  I'm sorry Auntie Bet, I promise I won't sniff you in personal places any more.  Can I come out of the corner now?

Bet: As long as you learned your lesson...

Bet:  How about you just go play with some toys and I'll go recover from this interview.

Tig:  Ok Auntie Bet!

The toaster was more productive... sigh!

Poutine Ninja Training Part 2 - Bet

Howdy Ho Everybodies, now that the Musher is FINALLY home again and all is right with my world.

I can now bloggity blog about Ninja training with Tig and Charm!

As you can see they were very excited about learning Ninja skills and stuffs (and things).

Charm got a bit too excited and wanted to just start chewing, but chewing is only a small part of Ninjaness, so I had to settle them down and start proper training with them.

Bet:  Ok, Ok, break it up, break it up Poutines, we've got to get serious here!  Ok, so what happens when you are playing around like that and something oogie sneaks up on you?  All the oogie thing needs to do is start stomping on you!

Charm: You can stomp on Tig Auntie Bet!

Bet: No, no, I'm not going to stomp on Tig, but follow me to some open area so I can show you some techniques to avoid being stompy stomped, are you coming Tig?

Bet: Tig, are you coming?

Tig: There's a tasty pinecone here!  And a chew stick!

Bet: You can chew on things after the lesson... what did you just call me?

Bet: Ok, part of proper Ninja training is that you never let your partner get dragged off by wild things, so Tig, I'm going to pretend that I'm the wild thing and I'm dragging Charm off into the woods to stomp on her... what do you do?

Tig: Oooh, there's a stick

Bet: Um, Tig, I'm dragging Charm off to the woods here, isn't there something you need to be doing?

Tig:  OOOH, that's a tasty bit of stick right here!

Bet: Um, Tig?

Bet: Is he even paying attention?

Charm:  Nah, he really has issues with multi-tasking.

Tig:  om nom nom, tasty stick.

Tig: Look!  A birdie in the tree!

Bet: DOES IT HAVE A POKEY POKEY BEAK AND BEADY EYES?????

Yeah, so that didn't work out very well at all, so I just wrestled for a bit, then I went in and took a nap.

I just don't think the Poutines are Ninja material.

Eagle Cap Extreme Day 1 - Bet

Howdy Ho Everybodies!

It's your Roving Border Collie Reporter, Bet, reporting from the Eagle Cap Extreme in beautiful yet slightly warmer than we'd like Joseph, Oregano!!!

We started off the day with an exciting breakfasty thing that's NAMED AFTER ME!  I'm very popular here, I have fans all over, so I HAD to try out my breakfasty thing!

I mean, it's got BACON!  Who can resist bacon?  Certainly not me.

Kristin Minion allowed me to use her lap as a table, since we had to get to the starting line.

Of course, the Musher got lost, so I had to take charge and give her directions.

LEFT MUSHER! LEFT!!!!!  I mean Gee or Haw, or whatever!

Yesterday was the big bib drawing thingie, and the Musher drew bib #22.

Because it's so very, very warm here, the Musher decided that instead of the longer race, she was just going to do the 100 mile race.  I'm sure the Pretty Curly Tails would have done just fine and dandy in the longer race despite the warmer weather, but pfffft, that's no fun, slogging through slush and stuffs, and this season we're all about having fun.

So, that means the team was smaller... more on that in a jiffy, because...

anyhooooo,

This is Shelly Minion (to my left) and Lisa in the FASHionable purple ensemble (that matches my collar).  Lisa is one of the Musher's friends and my personal assistant.  I'm pretty sure her last name is Oi.

As you can clearly see, I'm not looking at the camera, mainly because I'm wearing the same ensemble that I wore yesterday and I'm a bit peeved about that as SOMEBODIES didn't unpack my suitcase so I could pick out something more race appropriate.  hmmmpht.

There was a lot of prepping and doing stuffs and things, and of course... the FANS!!!

These are students from Stella Mayfield Elementary school and HUGEY HUGE Musher fans!  Look at the wonderful signs they made to root her on!  That's art!  Behind the scenes I talked to a few of them to submit some drawings of me because that Cartoonist needs to go... just sayin.

As usualy, the Pretty Curly Tails were relaxed and ready to rock when their time came.

As race time approached, I allowed my personal assistant Lisa to braid the Musher's hair, but in return Lisa has to give me a full body apricot scrub and pedicure in the hotel tonight.

As the starting time was getting close, the Pretty Curly Tails got time to stretch their legs and send some pee mail.

The Musher showed her fans the sled and what goes in it and how it zips up and what goes where and all that boring blah blah stuffs.

"... and this is where you put a flashlight or a rice cooker..."

Before we knew it, it was time to move toward the start line, so we moved toward the start line... as you can see, the Pretty Curly Tails know the way and they don't really need handlers, they're self-propelled, although that handler is about to be squished.

The Musher stopped to chat while we were waiting for their turn into the chute... no doubt they were discussing Flat Whites and Tim Bits or something because... nom.

Then it was the team's turn at the gate, waiting for their turn to go.

The fans went WILD!!!!  The Pretty Curly Tails went "meh" because they're professionals and know how to pose for the media.

And then off they went to have fun

So.... you may be wondering which of the pretty curly tails got to race!
