I didn't hear it, but Pyro says that the Little Blue Dog insulted his Mommy. NO ONE insults Pyro's Mommy!!
The ring (aka - our couch) was defined, the combatants took their positions and the contest was on.
It was very one sided....
Pyro held the advantage in both weight and reach...
...and was using all the weapons at his disposal (sharp, pointy puppy teeth) to further his advantage..
For a brief moment Bluie thought the worst was over... but it wasn't...
In a Pyrotechnic flash the end was at hand.
RIP Little Bluie!!

Darling photos and story, Karen!! We must start a "Bluie Fund" so the puppies never run out of "prey"! Speaking of prey, on our evening walk yesterday, Spider, Batdog and Junior all dived into the ditch and Batdog came up with a rabbit, handily shook it and then dropped it when we told him to. The others wanted to snatch it but we prevented that. My garden is now a little safer.
That is one cute puppy.
Another wonderful "pictoral narrative" done as only you can do it, Karen. Love it. (Also, WHERE do you buy "prey" for the puppies that will stand up to all that punishment?) When mine were puppies, I used to take about half a dozen of Roy's old socks, stuff them one inside another, then sew the end closed, and that's what Kiah, and later, Ayla "teethed" on. Worked well, and lasted longer than the stuffed toys, and much cheaper.
I always look forward to seeing your blog with my morning coffee.
A good thing to wake up to.
My gosh they are so cute.
