The days are definitely getting shorter and that means the nights are getting longer.
I honestly like the dark. It's kind of necessary to like - or at least be able to tolerate - the dark if you are a distance musher.
I look forward to the return of the night sky - the stars, the moon, the northern lights, the planets (Jupiter is currently dominating the night sky) all seem like long lost friends at this time of the year!
But it has definitely changed my evening walks.
Today was a busy one spent doing all those mundane tasks that have nothing to do with running dogs and everything to do with surviving in the rat race - banking, post office run, grocery shopping, getting the vehicles registered (those expired over 2 weeks ago, so that was a very motivating task today!), and a few other odds and ends.
By the time the day was done and I was ready to take my pals for a walk it was 8:20.
Three months ago it looked like this at 10 pm.
Tonight at 8:20pm it looked like this -
Welcome back to the night!!!
