A Carefully Crafted and Clever Disguise!

Oh she may look like a potted plant...

...but that is just a clever disguise.

She is ever on the alert...

...wander through HER yard at your own peril.

You need to get video of her getting into the barrel and settling into it.

She makes me laugh.

She is so great. I definitely wouldn't be going through the yard with her on guard. Those are awesome pictures.

I don't get it! What does she think she's doing in the pot? That's funny behavior from a guardian dog! She's so funny trying to look fierce but sleeping in a little ball in the planter.

What great photos! I like Cricket's hair, now that it is growing out. Long time ago, we had a neighbor's dog that would come over to our patio and wait for our husky to come out for a walk, etc. He was a large, stocky dog (basset hound and German shepherd) and he would get up into a patio chair and lie down. One day, I heard a crash and the chair had tipped over as he tried to get up! He looked quit embarrassed when I came out to right the chair.

Cricket, Cricket, you are unique--as you should be as the Guard of North Wapiti. You definitely look more regal with your coat growing out. I must admit that your choice of a sleep area seems to fit the unique criteria also.

Hey Karen ~ I've been looking for a Great P. for months now. I'm in no hurry, but if you know of a reputable breeder, or any that are available, drop me a line if you would. Your "Cricket" is photogenic and opportunistic. ;)

Jenny,

All I can figure is that she likes the element of being up higher for a better view.
This spot really does give her a great overall view of the whole dog yard.
The coyotes have been really active lately and the poor dear has been running hard the last few nights!!

Woodsman - actually, Cricks isn't a purebred, she is a cross that we picked up from Athabasca Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCARS) - http://www.scarscare.org/

It's good to see you found some where else to slep cricket.
Other than the 3 kennels you have to choose from around your yard.:-)

Well,Karen i suppose Mark did stop her from getting throught the cat door to the garage. :-)So she had to find a new place ...
She is looking soooo good Karen.
