I haven't spoken much about our new handler, Richard, but that isn't because he isn't working out great - he is.
In addition to doing a great job on kennel chores, helping out around the house and even befriending Bet he has been scootering with the dogs alot. Yesterday he asked if he could join us on our training run with a bike and a dog. Both Mark and my eyebrows jumped at that one. "Sure, if you want to". The agreement was that if the chosen dog - Newt - got tired or Richard got too beaten up, they could turn around and head home at any time! They didn't - they did the whole 20 mile run with us (we have scaled back our run a bit while some of the dogs deal with sore feet)!!
It was fun to have him along, fabulous for Newt and great distraction training for our young dogs!!

The pics of Newt are great. I need to get one of those things for my bike haha
You told me Newt couldn't run. He looks great!

Oh, he can run fine - it's actually putting in a full honest run worth of work that is an issue for him.
=)
