NorthWapiti's Camilla

NorthWapiti's Camilla
July 13, 1996 - December 14, 2010

My heart simply ached to say goodbye to Camilla, the last of one of the most amazing litters we have ever produced.
Make no mistake, this little gal was as amazing and wonderful as her big brothers - Grover, Gus and Smiley. In fact, she remains the best command leader I have ever driven. I used to joke that she could turn a 16 dog team on a dime and give you 8 cents change.
Although she was woman who focused on her career, rather then having children, she will never, ever be forgotten here.

One of the sweetest, toughest, most amazing little dogs I've ever known.

Goodbye little 'Chicken Dog'. I imagine you are once again zigging and zagging a big string around with that special sparkle in your eye because you know just how damn good you are. It's the way I will always remember you.

Oh No. what a tough day for you. I remember Camilla from before I even knew you. I have video of your team in 2001 restart and there is Camilla. She was a beauty.
Godspeed Camilla.

Farewell little Muppet girl. Go lead those wayward dogs beyond the Rainbow Bridge. Hugs to Karen and Mark on this sad day.

Oh no, Camilla I always looked for that little spot on your forehead when I was trying to identify dogs in team pictures. I'm so glad that we got to see you again this last spring.
Karen, I know you knew it was coming, but geez this is really tough. I'm so sorry.
Camilla, you rustle up those brothers and lead them on a really zippy run.

Oh Karen, I am so very sorry! At 14, she had a wonderful life, though. Take heart in that.

Karen, I am so sorry to hear the news of Camilla.
I only knew her for a short time, and very quickly found her to have a fantastic personality.
THinking of every one at NW at this sad time

Oh beautiful, amazing Camilla, Godspeed. I still can picture the intricate tunnels and ditches you dug just a few years ago... What a girl, and 14 1/2 years! Your silver harness sure sparkles and I know your brothers were all waiting for you.
